The Civic Ballet is dedicated to uplifting and supporting our community through various outreach programs.
 
For ten years, the Civic Ballet has partnered with the Economic Opportunity Commission (EOC) and the Children’s Services Network to provide a gift performance of our Nutcracker to the disadvantaged in San Luis Obispo County.  

Each year we fill the Performing Arts Center with families and individuals who would be unable to experience the ballet without this gift.  It is a special night for all of us.  We are working now with the Hearst Cancer Resource Center to add another gift performance to oncology patients and their families as well.
 
This year, the Civic Ballet is partnering with the SLO Arts Education Consortium to further art education in our public schools with teacher training that will culminate in a curriculum for the teachers and a Youth Outreach for the Performing Arts Center (YOPAC) performance for the San Luis Obispo county schools.  We have always provided assemblies for our schools, so we are very excited to enter into a more permanent realm of art education in the schools.
